As I reflect on entering my 9th year in business, I can’t help but feel nostalgic and grateful. It’s hard to believe that a dream I had over 10 years ago has become a reality, and I’ve been blessed to photograph countless amazing families, babies, and children in Pittsburgh and beyond.
As I embark on the journey into 2020, I’m refocusing on my business and considering making some changes. Perhaps it’s time to add more types of sessions into the mix or even branch off and start a new photography venture under a different name. I have so many ideas swirling around, and while it’s daunting to shake things up when what I have already works fine, as a creative (or as I like to call myself, an artist), I know it’s essential to challenge myself and try new things. Embracing failure as part of the journey to success is something I remind myself of often. It’s not failure; it’s simply part of my path.
But enough of my inner monologue – let’s talk about this special family. I first had the pleasure of meeting them when I photographed their first child in 2015. I instantly loved them.
While these photos are nearly two years old, I wanted to circle back and share them because it’s not every day I get to photograph newborn twins. Plus, I have a soft spot for dogs, and this sweet boy’s love for his first brother (as seen in the 2015 post) only grew when these two boys were added to the family.
Thank you for joining me in this moment of nostalgia, and as always, thank you for visiting and supporting my small dream business. Here’s to much love and success in 2020!
Enjoy. XO, Taryn
