Welcome to my 2016 Year in Review! It was so fun to put this together because looking through every client session I had this year brought me back as to how fantastic of a year it really was. A year of many firsts in my business… a birth session, a senior session, a fresh 48 session and a personal session (not yet blogged) for a special family looking to adopt. I heard TODAY that they brought home a beautiful baby boy on Friday. What an amazing way to ring in the new year! Tears of Joy as I know them personally and I can NOT think of more deserving parents!
I also traveled to Seattle (a bucket list city for me) and taught at the Click Away conference. It was such an honor to meet so many determined beautiful people on that trip. I was also asked to be a contributor by one of my business and life mentors as she lauched Flourish Academy. Amazing things are happening there and I am so blessed to be a part of it!
This year I really concentrated hard on the emotional moments (for those that know me… it is NOT something that is hard for me, ha!). For me it is NEVER about the perfect picture…. the perfect outfit, the perfect light and the perfect smile. It’s always about the raw emotion of our lives. It’s those in between moments we never want to forget that matter. Because life isn’t picture perfect and thats what makes its so incredibly beautiful and fantastic.
I am really looking forward to the best year yet! I have so much in store for my business. As I have previously announced I am going to try to do more in home FAMILY sessions. I will be offering a discount (something I never do) to families looking for this type of session early this year. Contact me if you know already you’d like to book this or stay tuned on my Facebook page for the discount announcement.
A heartfelt thank you for the clients and the “cheerleaders” for supporting my business, trusting me to make art and to capture life as it is and should be. Love you all! ….To a beautiful 2017.
Now a closer look at (only 1 image per session is nearly impossible to do!) Blu Hippo Photography’s Year in Review. Enjoy! XO, Taryn
